Privacy Policy

This policy explains what Dozier collects when you use dozier.io and the Dozier workspace, why, who we share it with, and how to ask us to delete it. Dozier is operated as a sole proprietorship, founded 2026 in New York.

Dozier researches public information about businesses (competitor websites, pricing pages, public filings, news, and similar public sources) on your behalf. This policy is about data we collect from you as a visitor or customer — not about the public third-party information a Sweep returns, which is sourced and cited inline wherever it appears.

Account information: your name, email address, and authentication details, handled by our identity provider, Clerk. We don't see or store your password.

Billing information: if you subscribe to a paid plan, payment details are collected and processed by Stripe. Dozier never receives or stores your full card number.

Business and research inputs: the business name, URL, rivals, and other details you enter to run a Sweep, plus the Dossiers, Moves, and Radar alerts Dozier generates from them.

Usage data: aggregate, privacy-preserving analytics about how the site is used, collected by Plausible (see Sub-processors below) — no cross-site tracking and no cookie banner, because Plausible doesn't use cookies.

Support communications: anything you send us by email, including the address you send it from.

To provide the service: run Sweeps, generate Dossiers and Moves, run Radar checks, and give you access to your workspace.

To bill you, via Stripe, for paid plans and credit packs.

To send transactional email — Radar alerts, billing receipts, account notices — via Resend.

To keep the service secure and working, including basic aggregate analytics on which pages and features get used.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use your account or business data to train third-party models.

Dozier relies on the following sub-processors to operate the service. Each processes data only as needed to perform its function for us:

Clerk — authentication and account/session management.

Stripe — subscription billing and payment processing.

Plausible — cookie-free, aggregate website analytics.

Resend — transactional email delivery (alerts, receipts, account notices).

DigitalOcean — application hosting, database, and file storage infrastructure (the servers Dozier runs on).

LLM providers (OpenAI and Anthropic) — used to run the research and synthesis behind a Sweep: reading public sources, extracting findings, and drafting the Dossier and ranked Moves. Business inputs you provide (the rival's name, URL, and similar) are sent to these providers as part of running a Sweep; your account credentials and payment details are never sent to them.

We retain account and billing data for as long as your account is active, and for a limited period after cancellation as needed for legal, tax, and dispute-resolution purposes.

Sweep inputs, Dossiers, Moves, and Radar history are retained for as long as your account is active so your workspace stays useful, and are deleted on account deletion (see below).

Aggregate analytics data (Plausible) is not tied to an individual identity and is retained per Plausible's standard aggregation practices.

You can request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by emailing us (see Contact below). We'll confirm the request and delete your account data, other than what we're required to retain for legal or tax purposes, within a reasonable time.

You can also cancel a paid plan yourself from your workspace billing settings at any time; cancellation stops future billing but does not by itself delete your data — email us if you want the account and its data removed too.

Dozier's authentication (Clerk) sets session cookies needed to keep you signed in. Our analytics provider, Plausible, does not use cookies or any persistent identifier — it measures traffic in aggregate. We don't run third-party advertising trackers.

Dozier is a business tool and is not directed at, or intended for use by, children. We don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 16.

We may update this policy as the product or its sub-processors change. Material changes will be reflected here with an updated effective date.
